1. The streaming source, media server, and playback client are all within the same local network.
1.1 To confirm whether the streaming source and playback client are within the same local network, you can use the cmd command on the streaming source device to ping the IP address of the playback client.
For example, if the IP address of the playback client is 192.168.48.23, you can use cmd on the streaming source to ping 192.168.48.67. If you receive a response, it indicates that they are within the same local network.
1.2 Open KandaoStream and set it to start the local media server. By default, opening KandaoStream will start the local media server.
1.3 Connect the camera, select the desired streaming parameters, choose the LAN protocol, and click 'Start Streaming.' For example, resolution: 7680X3840, bitrate: 30Mbps, codec: H.265.
1.4 To play on the playback client device, you can use media players such as PotPlayer, VLC Player, Pico Douyin Live Assistant, with the playback URL as
http://192.168.48.23/live/demo.m3u8. Note: 192.168.48.23 is the IP address of the media server.
2. Stream the video to a cloud server for playback.
2.1 Customers have their own Cloud as a Service, and can create their own Cloud as a Service to publish streaming addresses and pull-based streaming addresses. Generally, they can contact their IT personnel. Take Tencent Cloud as an example:
2.2 After creating the publish streaming address, copy the publish streaming address to the RTMP publish streaming protocol of kandaostream and click Start publish streaming.
2.3 Enter the playback URL on the playback client to start playback.
3. Stream the video to a platform for viewing.
YouTube platform
3.1 To live stream on the YouTube platform, open the YouTube official website, and select Create
-> Go Live.
3.2 Copy the live streaming URL and stream key to the RTMP streaming protocol in KandaoStream, then click 'Start Streaming.' Note: YouTube supports a maximum resolution of 4K.
Live Stream to Oculus Quest
3.3 After successful streaming, you can share the YouTube live stream URL and copy it to the Oculus Quest 3 browser or other VR headsets for viewing.
3.4 Taking Oculus Quest 3 as an example, copy the YouTube sharing link and open it in the browser of Quest 3.
3.5 Choose full-screen mode and select VR 180 3D side-by-side mode.
